YOUTH SEASONAL JOB ANNOUNCEMENT

Upper Susitna Soil & Water Conservation District

Are you between the ages of 14-17?
Do you live in the Talkeetna, Sunshine, Trapper Creek, or Willow area?

Would you be interested in spending your summer with friends, earning money, and gaining new skill sets while working outdoors in your home town?

Position: 2015 Youth Conservation Corps Crew Member
ALL Applicants are REQUIRED TO COMPLETE an Application & Submit 2 Reference Forms

Talkeetna Lakes Park, Denali State Park, Hatcher Pass State Park & Denali National Park

Job Specific Skills:

  • –  On Task Worker

  • –  Safety First Advocate : Performs proper body mechanics & risk management

  • –  Lift & Carry 25 Lbs +

  • –  Experience Working and/or Recreating in Wilderness Setting

  • –  Be Willing & Able To Work In All Weather Conditions (All YCC Projects are Outdoors)

  • –  Physically Fit & able to Hike up to 2 Miles a Day

  • –  Motivate Self & Others

    Job Specific Requirements:

  • –  Age 14-17

  • –  Available to Work the YCC Season in its entirety from June – August (We may be flexible if we are notified of days of absence well in advance)

  • –  Able to Work 4 Days/Week that will amount to 30 Hrs/Week

  • –  Provide own Transportation : Vehicle, Bike, Walk, or Public Transit is Acceptable

  • –  May be required to camp overnight up to 3 nights for specific YCC projects

    ALL Applicants are REQUIRED TO COMPLETE an Application & Submit 2 Reference Forms
